Welcome to the education pages of Lampeter & District Beekeepers' Association.

Our aim is to raise awareness and understanding of the honeybee, promote good husbandry techniques and improve the environment in which the honeybee exists.

We run a one off Taster Day and full beekeeping course for beginners every year. See Courses in our Events list for details and to book a place on either course.

As well as the theory of beekeeping for beginners, we offer practical sessions at our Association apiary throughout the active season.

We also have a programme of talks and presentations throughout the winter months at our monthly meetings.

If you would like to contribute articles, photos or any other educational content, please contact us.

Please use the menu opposite to explore further and check back regularly to keep up to date with the latest information.

Happy beekeeping!

On these pages we will be providing answers to some of the most common questions about honey bees and beekeeping. We will be expanding the list of questions over time, so please do keep checking back. You might also find what you need to know amongst our information guides or perhaps in our seasonal notes.
